She qualified as a Dr. Vodder trained Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Lymphedema Therapist in 2013 and is a registered lymphedema therapist with Manual Lymphatic Drainage Ireland (MLD Ireland).
Prior to embarking on a career change in 2009, Brid worked as an IT Professional for many years in a number of industries including healthcare. Her decision to retrain as a Physical Therapist was fuelled by combined interests in well being, sports, biomechanics of human movement, causes of pain in the body and how to address them. Her approach to well being involves looking at the complete picture when working with clients at her clinic.
Brid’s clinic is based at the Newtownpark Clinic, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, and she also attends a clinic one day per week at the Wicklow Lymph Clinic in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. Brid’s other interests include tutoring/lecturing. She has worked as a tutor at the Institute of Physical Therapy & Applied Science (IPTAS) and has delivered talks as a guest speaker promoting lymphedema awareness, as well as Health and Well Being talks to corporate clients. Brid is committed to further learning for the ultimate benefit of her clients through continued professional development and education.
